My apologies for being so absent from this blog. The truth is, the death of my father on October 29th has left me shaken and profoundly sad. One of the side effects is an inability to read for any length of time. I finished the newest Robert Galbraith – it’s excellent – but it took rather a long time to do that. I’m now reading Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes. Very well written, but again, it’s taking me a long time to get into it, simply because I can’t concentrate for long.
Since reading has always been a source of comfort and escape for me, not being able to escape into the pages of a good book is frustrating, to say the least.
But it is what it is at the moment. The newest Michael Connelly is due to arrive in my mailbox today.
